About

CrossFit NWA and JUNK Brands present the second-annual Mid America Championship.

The Mid America Championship is a functional fitness and athleticism competition that will be held in Bentonville, Arkansas from the 4th to the 6th of September 2015. Teams will prove their strength, stamina, speed, agility, and accuracy across a broad range of fitness challenges incorporating gymnastics, plyometrics, calisthenics, and Olympic weightlifting. Scaled, Rx, and Pro divisions will offer competitors of all skill levels the opportunity to test the extreme limits of their functional fitness.

Teams competing in the Mid America Championship will consist of six athletes: 3 women and 3 men. One team member must be 40 years of age, or older. Team members do not need to train at the same box. This is a true team competition. No individual relays. Not everyone will be required to perform all movements.

The 2015 Mid America Championship will take place at the Bentonville High School football stadium and indoor practice facility. The BHS Tigers football stadium is a 232,000 square foot, college-like facility that seats 6,000 spectators and features state-of-the-art press box, locker facilities, 80-yard indoor practice field, and jumbotron.

The Mid America Championship will be a fun and exciting event for the whole family. Spectators will cheer their favorite Pro, Rx, or Scaled athletes to victory. Sponsors and vendors from the functional fitness community will be on hand to demonstrate and sell the latest in functional fitness gear, equipment, and supplements.  A variety of food options will be available on site, including Paleo and other healthy and delicious options.

All proceeds from the 2015 Mid America Championship go to Chris Kyle’s Guardian for Heroes Foundation.
